Modern Slavery Statement
Financial year covered: 2025–2026 · Last updated: 3 May 2026
This statement is made pursuant to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps taken by BuiltByGo Ltd to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain.
Although BuiltByGo's annual turnover is below the £36 million statutory threshold for mandatory Modern Slavery Act statements, we publish this voluntarily as part of our commitment to ethical business practices. We expect that the standards we set for ourselves below will be met by every supplier we engage and every partner we work with.
Our business
BuiltByGo Ltd is a UK-based digital agency specialising in institutional-grade web platforms, applications, hosting, and managed support. We are a knowledge-based business employing skilled professionals. We have no direct manufacturing operations, do not employ low-skilled or transient labour, and operate primarily from a UK base with cloud-delivered infrastructure.
Our supply chain
Our supply chain primarily comprises cloud infrastructure providers (Cloudflare, Railway, Supabase, Sanity, Resend, PostHog, Sentry, Better Stack, DeepL, Anthropic, and others as listed in our Sub-processors register), software vendors, professional services, and independent subcontractors.
Our policies
We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. Our policies ensure that all employment is freely chosen and properly documented; workers are paid at or above the National Living Wage; working hours are not excessive; no child labour is used; workers retain control of their own identity documents; and all workers are treated with dignity and respect.
Risk assessment
Direct employees and UK-based contractors are low risk. Cloud and software providers are generally low risk as large publicly-accountable companies with their own modern slavery commitments. Specialist subcontractors are assessed individually. We do not currently have material exposure to high-risk sectors.
Due diligence
We review supplier modern slavery statements, include modern slavery and ethical conduct clauses in supplier contracts, and verify right-to-work for direct employees and applicable contractors.
Training
We provide modern slavery awareness training to all employees and contractors, refreshed annually, covering how to identify potential indicators and how to report concerns.
Reporting concerns
Report via whistleblowing@builtbygo.com (anonymous accepted). See Section 3 of our Code of Conduct for the full whistleblowing framework, including external routes such as the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline (08000 121 700) and Crimestoppers (0800 555 111).
Effectiveness
We measure effectiveness through due diligence outcomes, supplier compliance evidence, training completion, and any reports received. In the financial year covered, we have received no reports of modern slavery in our business or supply chain.
Approval
This statement was approved by the board of BuiltByGo Ltd and will be reviewed annually.
